I have been a passionate camper since 2014. Like many others, I started by renting (and that is still my standard advice), after which I took the step to owning my own camper: a semi-integrated model. That suited me well, but the recurring breakdowns also made it clear what I wanted to do differently.

After four years of intensive use — in both summer and winter — the realization dawned: it needed to become more robust, more reliable, and above all, more “our own.” And so the plan to convert a Mercedes Sprinter ourselves was born.

What started as an idea grew into a project that I enjoyed immensely. It took more time than initially anticipated, but precisely because I didn't want to make any compromises. I incorporated all my experience with factory-built campers to create something that is truly right: a solid and comfortable base camp for the trips we love to take.

With this camper, we have now seen a large part of Europe: from Scandinavia and the Alps (summer and winter) to the Pyrenees and Corsica. It has been used in Arctic conditions, but just as well for cycling trips, hikes, mountain climbing, city trips, festivals, and following the Tour de France.

That versatility is what makes it so beautiful to us — and honestly, I would build another one right away.

We have plans of our own for the coming period where this camper cannot always come along. And it is simply a waste if it remains idle.
