Lovely campervan with plenty of space, useful cupboards and comfortable bed. It had everything we needed in it, the awning was fabulous and the kitchen was fully kitted out. Really friendly relaxed owner - thanks so much! Would highly recommend. September 2026

This review is about our experience, I have no doubt the owner will counter our story but just remember that of the two disputes submitted to Goboony the results were 100% in our favour and we were awarded compensation although the owner did not respect the decision and hasn’t paid. The van was as rough as expected being 40yrs old but I hadn’t counted on how filthy it was inside, to the point we had to wash dirty dishes before eating our first meal. It’s an old van so having a breakdown wasn’t a huge surprise but what was unexpected was to be blamed for the cooling system issues on the basis that it hadn’t happened before, quite bizarre. The van was fixed and ran for another 700 miles so no lasting damage but the owner still tried to get me to pay for the repairs that were proven to be caused by poor maintenance. The owner was rude on our return ( something about a house sale falling through) and literally called me a liar to my face. The Goboony disputes system works well, although a little slow but hasn’t the ability to enforce its decisions. I would hire another van through them again but definitely not recommend Kennith due to his poor character and dishonesty. I’d suggest Goboony dump this person from their web site. August 2026

My experience of using Kenny and his VW Camper van was fantastic. The campervan itself is incredibly well equipped and extremely spacious. It made my festival experience so much more enjoyable. Kenny was also very easy to communicate with and made the collection and the drop-off extremely easy and gave me all the information I needed to use the campervan Best. Five stars all round. Such a great little van! Sammy was perfect for a week travelling around the UK, Kenny has kitted it out with everything you need. Easy pick up with clear instructions on how to use anything in the van. Once you get used to the lack of power steering it’s very fun to drive and the added rearview camera is great for when you need to park. Would definitely recommend! June 2026

Run a mile! When we arrived to collect bilbo it was clear the photos did not match the advert. The outside was filthy and covered with webs, plus the paint was heavily faded. The inside included duct tape holding up the upholstery and sections hanging down. Cupboard were tied together with cord and were filled with junk, so no storage. The hob cover and privacy curtains were also missing. We were informed the 3 way fridge had been disconnected and only worked while driving. We observed the water tank leaking while being filled by Kenny and was told it was normal. It became the running theme of being gaslit. The tank didn’t hold water and the tap didn’t run. The gas bottle that was allegedly full (they were both empty) apparently didn’t work due to low temperatures. The manager at Go Camping pointed out this lie and I had to buy a camp stove. The van was difficult to drive with no power steering and a dog leg clutch, further compounded by intermittent dash lights and a smoke alarm sounding for no apparent reason….unless of-course, we were being poisoned by carbon monoxide. I lost chunks of my knuckles when I checked the oil, something that is required every few days. My personal favourite is the sliding door that is actually a sheet of plywood that catches and doesn’t open without risking your fingers to free it. The van also isn’t air or water tight, a real treat for the Scottish highlands, as was the brakes that squeaked. All this pales in comparison to Kenny’s disgusting attitude. After being pursued relentlessly for payment of a fine, something that easily could’ve waited until the end of the hire, he refused to do a handover and follow the procedures. He proceeded to stage damage, resulting in 2 months of hassle to resolve the matter. Fortunately, go boony saw through Kenny’s lies and denied his claims. I noticed the advert has now been edited and majority of the deceptive photos removed, no where near enough though. Run a mile, I wish we had. January 2026

The campervan had everything I needed and felt like home for the week for astronomy festival week in Norfolk. Kenneth was very helpful and explained everything clearly. Driving was a great experience. Thank you again and I would definitely recommend! September 2025
