My partner and I spent a 6-7 days roadtrip with super Ruaridh’s campervan around the Isle of Skye and the west coast, and it’s been one of our best roadtrips ever, or probably the best! The campervan, even if it looks “from the 2000”, is in an amazing condition and driving it has been a pleasure. The camper part is very new and built with all the details and very well thought out. Ruaridh has been very nice and one of the key pieces to have such a wonderful experience. He helped us to plan the roadtrip and gave us lots of very good tips for it. We left Scotland very happy and willing to come back to explore more and I am sure we would repeat with Ruaridh’s campervan. Thank you so much Ruaridh! Isabel and Roger September 2024

Ruaridh was a kind and helpful host who gave us a very detailed induction who also responded quickly to any queries that we had whilst on the road. Our road trip took us all around the NC500 and also across to Skye over 9 days. The camper van was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and although small, it was very comfortable. Thermos was also very easy to navigate through the single tracked, sometimes steep and winding roads without any problems at all. We enjoyed our road trip very much and would not hesitate in recommending Ruaridh as a host and Thermos as a camper van. We had the most wonderful time and made some very special memories. Ruaridh was the perfect host for our first time campervan experience. We did the NC500 and the van was amazing and had everything we needed, it was the perfect size for even the windy roads. Bed was super comfy and was very cosy even in the rain and wind. He is clearly passionate about his van and talked us through every little detail that we could possibly need to know for our trip. Ruaridh is a friendly, kind and well organised owner who has thought of everything to make the rental go smoothly. The van is well appointed and reliable and gives you a motoring experience from a slightly earlier time which I liked. I did nearly 900 miles in it and it didn’t miss a beat. Highly recommended. From initial booking to returning the van at the end of our trip, the customer service and hospitality we received from Ruaridh was above and beyond expected. The location of the van (very close to Inverness airport) and the provision of necessities and more (bedding, blankets, crockery and utensils, phone holder, multiple charging ports, table and chairs) made it extremely easy to fly in with with minimal luggage. Again the location, condition and utility of the van made it extremely easy to travel Scotland’s coastline staying on cliff tops, beaches and campsites all with sufficient supply of water, gas and power. Would highly recommend both Ruaridh and this VW camper van. A fantastic experience and we would definitely use again for future trips. August 2024

Ruaridh was an exceptional motorhome host. We are very grateful for the effort and time you took to assist us with a pick up from the airport. Ruaridh was thorough with his explanations of the van, and provided assistance where needed. The van itself was a great size to drive on the narrow highland roads. If a bond and a friendship is what your looking for in a van, look no further. The Thermos was the perfect companion to take us round Scotland for our first trip around the highlands. We were due to pick up a different campervan, but 3 days before our trip we received a last minute cancellation from a different advertiser - but aren’t we so glad we ended up meeting Ruaridh and renting his campervan Thermos instead! Ruaridh was so helpful with our last minute stressful situation, doing everything he could to make things work out for us. When we arrived, Ruaridh provided the most hospitable and kind welcome to his area of the world. He gave us a thorough introduction to Thermos and made sure we felt confident heading out on the road, providing lots of recommendations, clear information and brilliant advice. We instantly fell in love with the authentic camper feel and the history of the van. Thermos is equipped with everything you need and is suitable for both wild camping or in one of th many campsites - we did a mix of both, taking Thermos round the North Coast 500, and would definitely recommend this campervan for whatever kind of adventure you’re looking for! Thermos was extremely reliable; we didn’t need to charge the battery once during our 6 day trip, and filled up water every 2/3 days. The bed was extremely comfortable with the mattress topper and provided the best cosy evenings in the most beautiful locations. Ruaridh and his campervan made our week in the highlands so special.
