Response from Geoffrey Receiving a poor review like yours is hugely regrettable and we take a lot of time to consider the points raised and make the necessary changes to our procedures to ensure that this does not happen again. Unfortunately this was one of those occasions that we could not have prepared for. Sometimes mechanical problems do arise, which is unavoidable, however the manner in which we deal with the problem is what we pride ourselves in. In this case the indicator light had not been on before and did not come on until well into your journey. As soon as we were alerted to the problem we made an enormous effort to find a replacement van which we then went to collect a distance of three hours away from us. On our way to bring you a new van and swap them out we received instruction from yourselves informing us that the light was no longer indicating. We therefore aborted our trip to you as per your request. As you mentioned the indicator light came on again, we were not made aware of this until the vehicle was dropped off. Our vehicles are always kept upto date on their services and in this case the fault was eventually diagnosed as being with the sensor itself and was not a mechanical problem. We believe that we went over and beyond to rectify the problem immediately and that the vehicle was exactly to specification as per images and inventory provided on our site. It was clear when you arrived that you had been expecting a motorhome. Also, it is a condition that the vehicle be returned with a full tank of petrol and since it wasn’t we had to take it to be filled. We provided the receipt for filling the vehicle and deducted from the deposit as per our terms and conditions. We are committed to excellent service and will continue to strive to achieve this with each and every rental.
