I'm Michael and I'm married to Julie. We bought our Motorhome 'Swifty' nine years ago and have enjoyed many weekends away in the nearby Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. In 2017 we gave up our printing and teaching jobs and took a 'gap year' travelling around Europe in Swifty. We drove as far as Poland and enjoyed visiting 9 countries along the way. We are not quite retiring age so we bought a small village hardware shop six months ago and are currently working hard to build this up into a successful business. This does mean that we don't have as much free time to travel in our beloved Motorhome and she is just sat there on our drive looking a bit forlorn! We have joined Goboony to make use of Swifty while we are working and also hope that fellow travellers enjoy holidaying in her as much as we do.

At short notice as our van broke down the day before our holiday. We were saved by Swifty and her lovely owners Michael and Julie. They went out of their way to ensure we could still go on our family holiday, even allowing us to collect Swifty earlier than the normal time. The van was a dream and exactly what we needed to go to Cornwall for a week in comfort and with everything we could possibly need. We simply can’t thank you enough. July 2026

The handover day went smoothly, and off we went, we did a roadtrip of Scotland, some of the places we havent been over the last 40 years. Michael & Julie were lovely. Anything we needed to know like ( where are the chocks? ) etc. It was nice and easy being in a motorhome as more room than a campervan. We brought 'Swifty' back after 2 weeks and a wash and brush up, and that's it, 2 weeks gone just like that! Our dogs loved staying somewhere new every night, and all the rabbits there were in some of the sites. Im sure anyone would have a good holiday in Swifty. July 2026

the service, communicatipn and general attitude of Mike and his lovely wife were amazing. They went over and above for us to truly have a wonderful weekend. The Campervan, is spacious, well equipped and better than we could have hoped for. refund process was swift and efficient, I will most definitely be using Mike's van next year for the same event. many thanks to everyone involved! The handover with Michael was good, and he explained everything well about the motorhoming, as I was totally new to using motorhomes. We had a trip around North Yorkshire both inland and coastal. I enjoyed the experience of having your home literally with you, it felt quite unique. The overcab bed was very comfortable too I must say. I recommend Michael to anybody else who is thinking of hiring a motorhome. October 2025

A very pleasant experience all the way through. Michael was friendly, helpful and his motor home had everything we needed for our trip. It was pleasant to drive and never missed a beat. My son and I had a great experience camping for 4 days, the motor home was cozy and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Michael’s services or motor home again. We had a great time. September 2025

Michael is an excellent host, and was always available to answer any questions, as, even with a thorough handover, sometimes you forget stuff. Swifty is an older lady and a bit scuffed around the edges inside and out. However, she drives well, is comfortable and everything works. We didn't drive around, just to and from a horse trials where we set up, and Swifty was a great base. We'd hire her again. September 2025

We hired the swifty from Micheal for the weekend for us as a family amd the dog traveling down south. Swifty didn't miss a beat. Comfortable and clean and literally had everything you could possible need. Micheal was fab before during and after our trip. Already planning our next get away.
