Could be better: 1. Tell visitors on arrival about the system for the showers and give them a bracelet which works, rather than letting them discover it doesn’t once they’ve undressed. This happened twice, then I gave up trying to shower. 2. Clean us mess at WC emptying point. This must be a public health issue. We reported it on arrival but nothing was done by the time we left the next morning. 3. Site seemed a bit sad and unkempt in places but bathroom facilities were all clean.

Liked: an excellent night stop at this camp, with beautiful walks around the lake. Great showers. However it was very tricky to actually get into the site on this occasion due to the road blocks because of the evening music concert.

Liked: Very rustic site, good for overnight stay.. very good pub/restraunt nearby looking over island.

Liked: Friendly welcome, always friendly employees during our stay. Perfect bread service, sanitary facilities ok, showers nice and warm (max 7 minutes/day). Large camper pitches that you can choose yourself. 10A current, several water taps. Right next to the campsite is a large park with a swimming and fishing pond, many walking and cycling opportunities. There is also a good restaurant on this site. The city center is easily accessible on foot or by bike via park.

Liked: Der Platz ist schön gelegen, es gibt einen Brötchenservice und das naheliegende Restaurant am See ist wirklich toll.

Could be better: Unser Aufenthalt war der blanke Alptraum. Wie wir im Nachhinein herausgefunden haben, wurde der Platz als Campground für einen 200 Meter weiter stattfindenden Techno Rave beworben. Als wir vom Essen zurück kamen, war der Platz voll mit feiernden Festivalbesuchern. Es hat niemanden interessiert, dass der Platz die ganze Nacht in eine höllenlaute Partyzone verwandelt wurde. Die teuerste schlaflose Nacht unseres Camperlebens (über 40 Euro). Wir wären dankbar gewesen, wenn uns jemand gewarnt hätte, dann hätten wir uns spontan was anderes gesucht.
