Liked: We’ll set up campsite, close to lake and village.

Could be better: Fans or air conditioning in cottages.

Liked: Because of the heatwave it was nice and cool under the trees

Could be better: I know it is back to nature but the general site is a bit untidy.

Could be better: Only one facilities block open and it could do with a good scrub up I appreciate that the location in in a Forrest but the area had spiders webs and was not clean

Liked: Peaceful setting, large pitches in beautiful surroundings. Access to the lake was perfect, we even swam in the lake although the water was very cold. We were able to cycle into the local village although a bit hilly

Could be better: The camp needed tidying up, hedges needed cutting but we appreciate start of the season.

Liked: We had a fantastic stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. The setting, although you can’t see the lake is peaceful and surrounded by nature. Facilities (one block open when we were there) were always clean. We would definitely recommend and will return.

Could be better: Maybe a greater choice of pastries to purchase for breakfast.

Liked: We liked everything about the site. The pitches are large with electrical connections on each and water available at various points throughout the site. It is situated directly beside a lake with facilities for runners, walkers and cycling. There is a small restaurant/coffee shop beside the lake. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent with three buildings available during high season

Could be better: More shower blocks open , grass was a little long , not sure about the roaming sheep , poo on pitch ch and upset the dog

Liked: Although we arrived in a storm and could not get grip on the wet pitches, we were made welcome. We come back every year because of the people. However, hot water could be hotter!!"
