Liked: Had a relaxing 8 day stay mid to late June 2024. Well laid out site with many different pitches. Direct access to the beach. Quiet at night. Very welcoming staff. Nice toilet and shower block.

Liked: Very friendly staff giving a warm welcome to the site. Pitches were large and flat and well kept. Facilities were very clean, with washing machine and drier also an indoor pool with a hot tub.The whole site was clean and tidy and a stone throw to the beach.

Could be better: None

Liked: The situation of the site easy and safe to cycle to Merville Franchville plage and Cabourg.

Could be better: I was sorry not to be able buy bread and pastries the second day of my stay as I had not ordered. On my first day when I had ordered other people were able to buy with no order it changed after one day????

Liked: The beach and village are nearby. Heated pool is very nice.

Could be better: Communication prior to arrival very poor. Was booked on late arrival ferry 10pm Ouistreham and was supposed to get email and text in the day before my arrival at site, to give me the barrier code and allocated pitch number. The message was never sent to me. Luckily a sympathetic camper gave us the barrier code and we just pitched up on first space we found. Unfortunately the electric was not turned on for that pitch so we had no power - couldn't charge our phones etc. The lady on reception could not explain why we did not get the messages as it was caused by someone else on duty.
