Liked: We have stayed at Gandspette many times over the years, usually in a tent but sometimes in a camper van. We like the site very much. On this occasion we had just crossed from the UK and wanted to make an early start on our journey through France the next day. So we wanted somewhere reliably comfortable and efficient.

Could be better: Nothing negative to say about the site at all (Except maybe about the wash-basin taps in the sanitaires. They have some kind of sensor to regulate the flow of water which I find completely baffling.) It was the most expensive site we stayed at throughout our touring holiday in France, but justified by the location, the quality of the facilities, and the fact that this was still high season.

Liked: Really lovely site with lots of greenery and hedges to separate pitches. Extremely friendly owner with perfect English, makes you feel very welcome.

Could be better: Would be good to ask if an ACSI card holder when booking online.

Liked: Woodland setting. Large pitches, good facilities

Could be better: Hand dryers in the toilet blocks

Could be better: Longer on the light timer- can clause issues when showering at night!

Liked: Excellent visit- will come again

Liked: We stayed overnight en route to Calais. The welcome was informative and helpful. The pitch was a good size and facilities easily located. Family were able to enjoy the swimming pool.

Liked: Everything was excellent, no need to use Wedges this time

Could be better: Plastic grass holders are a killer for the Wedges

Liked: Friendly staff, nice site, able to arrive fairly late (2145) which is good given traffic around Paris when driving up from South! Couple of nice places to pick up bread and pastries if heading for ferry

Liked: Amazing site- so much to do for the kids- park pool and bouncy castle, chickens roaming around, bar and restaurant with take away options, big pitches and really well kept site. The toilets and showers were spotless the whole time, being cleaned constantly. People were all lovely. We loved our stay and will definitely be rushing back!

Liked: The site was generally ok.

Could be better: We arrived late, after about 5 hours of driving and our travelling companions (who arrived a few hours earlier) checking in and let us know where our pitch was. When we arrived, we didn't spot the sign for reception (it was behind a tree but was at least partly visible to be fair but just missed it), so headed straight to the pitch. Was chased by a very angry man telling me that he wasn't happy and generally being aggressive. Just not the best start really. It was an honest mistake and really didn't need such an aggressive action. Restaurant staff also less than helpful.
