Could be better: Larger swimming pool

Liked: We loved the woodland setting, you felt connected to nature. There was a relaxed feel throughout the campsite. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The values of the owners could be felt throughout the campsite. We loved so many things that we cannot mention them all but some are: bicycle stands conveniently placed everywhere, no WiFi at pitches, the walking tour of the campsite, the raft race, the friendliness of ALL staff, the stalls each evening, the wine tasting, the fishing and the swimming pool.

Could be better: Perhaps extended opening hours of the shop.

Liked: Beautiful campsite, plenty to do, clean and well run. We really enjoyed the discovery walk and the wine tasting. Our children enjoyed the activities. The site has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Could be better: The staff were very lovely but being the start of season not all were totally confident in the systems (I had a spa booking mix up that was not resolved). We found the service to be slow in the restaurant - but the food was very good.

Liked: We had an amazing break! The site is beautiful and very peaceful. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful and clearly enjoyed working at La Garangeoire. We have holidayed at a large number of 5* campsites in France over the years this is one of, if not the best we have had the pleasure of staying at.

Could be better: None

Liked: Clean facilities, friendly staff, great restaurant and good take away too.

Could be better: Lots of pigeons that leave a mess on car/ caravan/ awnings. Fishing lakes need overgrown bushes/ brambles trimming back and fish in lake one need feeding. (Caught many fish but they were all under weight, regular feeding would benefit the fish and encourage more anglers.

Liked: Really nice facilities boys loved the football pitch and swimming pool

Liked: We have stayed in a number of places for our summer holidays over the years and this is the first time we have ever returned to a site. Love this place. The spacious, green site is so well laid out and maintained. It is really well looked after. Loads for activities for our teenage boys to get involved with. Staff are all super helpful. Enjoyed the guided tour from Anne, very interesting.

Could be better: We would be interested in a (slightly) bigger pool complex perhaps. Also the staff and service in the restaurant is not on the same level as all the excellent staff elsewhere on site.

Liked: This was the first time we've stayed in one spot for more than 7-10 nights. We could have stayed another 3 weeks easily! Really enjoyed the 60th Birthday meal celebration on the lawn and the Discovery Walk of La Garangeoire with Anne. If you've never done it, please do as you'll get a newfound appreciation for everything that's special about La Garangeoire.
