Liked: This has to be the best site we have ever stayed on. The site is exceptionally clean and has great facilities, including the swimming pool, restaurant and tennis courts).It's very peaceful and whilst it doesn't have internet across the whole site (centred around the reception area) the site did have a good mobile connection.

Could be better: I can't think of any.

Liked: As soon as we drive up the drive way towards the house on the first day of our holiday we feel at home.

Could be better: Larger umbrellas outside reception and the little bar to give more shade. We love having coffee in the morning and a drink here in the evening.

Liked: We liked arriving.! Always a very pleasant welcome from the team of people no matter what their role is. The site improvements are good especially the braided promenade segregating the wheeled from pedestrians. Accommodation and everywhere was very clean and comfortable. The pool was fantastic. The hour before the slides were opened up allowed for a peaceful swim time. We first visited 35 years ago. Although the site has developed the environment and atmosphere hasn’t changed. We like arriving but we are always sorry to leave.

Could be better: Whilst there’s a footbath at the entrance to the pool the overhead shower couldn’t be operated despite valiant attempt by pool guy. Options are the shower next to the pool or in the ablutions near entrance. The new waste system was a bit hit and miss. I never mastered it.

Liked: We had great pleasure in returning to this site where we used to bring our children in the early 1990's and are now returning with our children and grandchildren. A lot has changed and developed over the intervening years with the driveway now a route for pedestrians and bikes to get to the shop, bars & swimming pools all beautifully planted with flowers and trees. It was just as relaxing as we had remembered.

Liked: Excellent site so much going on there was just the two of us with our dogs but would love to return with children and grandchildren

Could be better: Our shower did not work it was scolding hot reported to the office several times finally they had a guy out.. but still didn't work as was then freezing cold. Eventually they had to put a new boiler in but we were used to using there very good showers in the main block by the time it was fixed and were leaving. We were treated to a cheese and wine tasting evening and very apologetic.

Liked: Our first visit since 2002. Lovely stay. Well be back for a longer stay.

Liked: Very comfortable accommodations, lovely site, great for children. Good cycle routes and tracks. Would recommend to a friend.

Liked: Fantastic friendly welcome from Santi on arrival..Country Lodge was exceptionally well equipped Our 2 dinners in the restaurant were very pleasant especially being able to take our dog Thomas with us. We enjoyed a couple of relaxing sessions in the well laid out pool complex The walking routes provided proved very useful when we wandered further afield Thomas & I really enjoyed the guided dog walk which was expertly led by a wonderful young lady who shared lots of her knowledge & hobbies with us

Could be better: The folk music duo wasn't to our taste but that's more of a personal thing.

Liked: So helpful in arranging a pitch close to our daughter and family who were in a cabin. Loved the 60th party and the range of things we could do with our grandson. Close enough to the beach for quick visit (lots of free car parking).

Could be better: Shame the lagoon was shut on the first really hot day and when the lake had a competition going on. Grateful that our daughter had a car so we could all go to the nearby beach.

Liked: We liked everything really! We had the best meal of our holiday in the restaurant! It was absolutely delicious! And the service was excellent too. Friendly and helpful staff. We also thought the planting around the camp was very beautiful. Gorgeous, well tended plants. So hats off to your gardeners! And of course, the wonderful celebrations for your 60th anniversary. What a fabulous evening it was. A really lovely stay and so much to see and do. Fabulous!

Could be better: Milk alternative for coffee ie soya, oat, coconut milk would have been good.
