Liked: Loved the atmosphere, the helpful friendly staff and the activities and facilities.

Could be better: Taos accommodation could be better equipped. No good sharp kitchen knives or large drinking glasses. The bar should have a good selection of wines, not just the basic red, white and rose choices. This is France and we like good French wine selections. Also, the small bar kept closing early, 9.30 or 9.40 pm every evening. You could sell good wines here and stay open to 11.

Liked: Great facilities on site. My 6 y o loved the football lessons and especially Mehdi the main coach. Super helpful staff at reception. Loved our spacious pitch, the slides, range of pools and quiet, rural setting. Our two young boys aged 4 and 6 were very sad to leave…

Could be better: One of the 10am football coaches was constantly on her phone looking disinterested. Mehdi was superb, but at times matches were left unsupervised. Our sink leaked and lights didn’t work. The latter was fixed but the former was not. Both football goal nets need repairing (lots of holes). The playground area was ok but maybe needs updating. Feel you need a tunnel slide or proper zip wire.

Liked: Friendly staff, very clean, lovely pitches, shop is good value for money, very safe for children, quiet at night, easy to get connected to nature - walking, fishing, biking. Everything you need on site.

Could be better: Can’t think of anything - difficult to improve on such a high quality place.

Liked: Excellent camp site - perfect facilities, always clean, staff deserve special mention- I’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff were so universally friendly, helpful and good at their jobs. Lots to do without being overwhelming. Despite it being a large site it never felt too busy or crowded. Lots of covered areas, for bad weather or in our case very hot weather. Can’t fault it.

Could be better: Nothing to fault

Liked: We loved our stay at our new site, it was a beautiful site, very friendly and welcoming staff. Lots to join in with, loved the walks around the estate. So pleased our stay was while the 60th celebrations took place as this was an incredible evening.

Could be better: The corner on the entrance , turning into the accommodation is a little tight and not well sighted. Maybe more speed ramps as some cars travel far to fast with lots of children around. The shower block near our pitch maybe needs a little updating

Liked: We had a wonderful holiday at this campsite. Our children are both under 10 and they were well catered for. The swimming pool was great and it is an excellent location for some of the local attractions. I recommend puy du fou and the grand défi (which is pretty much next door). Reception staff really approachable and friendly. Everything was very clean. We booked directly with the campsite which was easy.

Liked: The campsite setting is beautiful. We stayed on a premium camping pitch and the site was fantastic - large hedges separating each pitch to provide privacy. The restaurant was very impressive - delicious food of a high standard, take-away options plentiful too. The catering staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was nice to relax in the courtyard and enjoy a drink in evenings whilst the kids can play nearby.

Could be better: The toilet/shower facilities were often very dirty (daily). Appreciate that we stayed during peak holiday season, however we stayed at other campsites during this period and the facilities on those (similar) sites were significantly cleaner. The uncovered swimming pool was also very crowded most of the time.

Liked: So helpful in arranging a pitch close to our daughter and family who were in a cabin. Loved the 60th party and the range of things we could do with our grandson. Close enough to the beach for quick visit (lots of free car parking).

Could be better: Shame the lagoon was shut on the first really hot day and when the lake had a competition going on. Grateful that our daughter had a car so we could all go to the nearby beach.
