Liked: The parc had everything we wanted to have a wonderful, relaxing week with our 2 children (aged 15 & 10). The outdoor pool was clean and warm and provided lots of fun with slides. I loved that most of the activities provided were free and easy to attend. The lake and forest provided space and freedom in nature. Our chalet was situated within the trees, providing a private, quiet spot. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, watching a few bands while enjoying food and drink. I loved how relaxed and traditional the parc is, not overly commercial. Loved it!

Could be better: We found the lifeguarding at the pool and lake to be sporadic, which made us a little nervous. Sometimes they were there, sometimes not. Often when there was a lifeguard they did not appear to be paying full attention. My husband (a qualified lifeguard himself) almost had to rescue a young child who was struggling in the deep end. There were some wobbly steps and handrails coming up from the lake past the indoor pool that could cause someone to fall.

Liked: Cleanliness, setting is beautiful.

Could be better: Restaurant food not a good standard menu had little choice , needed to be open every day. Only a few activities offered for whole week

Liked: Location for cycling great, site well laid out, camp pitch was large and flat, facilities were new and clean. Entertainment good at night, pool was great and clean

Could be better: A bit limited for eating in evening, pizzas or the restaurant which was a bit more formal.

Liked: Great site everyone very helpful. Very clean and activities kept the kids amused. Would come back again

Liked: The pool, size of the pitches we stayed in our motorhome. The lodges were really well designed (our daughter, her husband and children were also on the site. The wash and toilet facilities are probably the best I've ever seen on a campsite.

Could be better: The rubbish and recycling bins were in a very inconvenient place for such a large site. The restaurant was closed for most of our visit

Liked: The campsite has many facilities even though we weren't able to fully utilise them during our stay. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, and there are some lovely walks through the trees and around the lake. It is close to many of the Loire's attractions and we were able to visit both Futuroscope and a Chateau during our stay. The food in the restaurant was nice.

Could be better: Our stay was spoilt by having camping equipment stolen from our pitch whilst we were out shopping, which has never happened to us previously over many camping trips to France. It was also surprising given how quiet the campsite was. Whilst this is not a direct reflection on the campsite itself, it may give an indication of the type of people who frequent it.

Liked: Lots to do, nice location, great shop. Staff worked hard and easy to communicate with. Great for families. Little bit out of the way for a short trip into town, but easy roads and local shops etc.

Could be better: Restaurant couldn't cope with large groups of people, takeaway was shut. Toilet blocks nearby to pitches closed, others were broken/showers cold etc. Early season visit not recommended as lots of campsite issues not been fixed prior to opening. Take a long time to refund a deposit. Everything comes with an unnecessary charge - get charged to park near chalet/pitch additional cost!
