Liked: Nothing.

Could be better: Having stayed at many Les Castels, I can confirm this should not be one. Loud, noisy, butlins style resort. Kids and adults climbing all over the swimming pool, jumping off things that they shouldn’t! The ‘lake’ is a POND and I would not allow my dog in there, green and stinking.

Could be better: Some basic additional kitchen equipment would be useful - e.g grater for cheese More sun beds- always gone unless queuing for 30 minutes before the pool opened. Lake unfortunately closed but made a difference to pool numbers and available activities

Liked: Loved the campsite, the entertainment was great, children had a blast. All the activities were ace.

Could be better: The bar area could be spruced up a little and the toilets at the bar could be modernised and better lit.

Liked: In general everything was very good and we are happy

Could be better: Improvements could be better wifi coverage, the temperature of the outdoor pool was a bit cold even on a +30 degree day and the water drainage of our pitch was a bit rudimentary with just a pvc pipe sticking out of the ground

Liked: I loved the facilities and the cleanliness of the site and the variety of activities for the kids

Could be better: 23:00 is late for little kids for the finishing times if the nighttime entertainment. 22:00 would be perfect 👍

Liked: We had a great week on this site, the location was great, we were close to the main area but felt secluded and had privacy on the edge of the forest.

Could be better: The pony riding is a shambles, the ponies are not trained, they leave you to take the pony with no supervision. The person in charge of the ponies seems to struggle with the animals and the customers. She was bucked off the horse and broke her arm, my daughter had been on that horse 10 minutes earlier. It's dangerous.

Liked: Lots to do on site.

Could be better: There are a lots of rats on site. We saw over ten! Trim trees around lake and make better fishing stages. Disappointing that some of the activities closed for the weekend which was the majority of our stay. We picked the site for the tree wires so sad they were closed.

Liked: The camping pitch size and the shed and furniture / freezer . It’s a great space especially when it rains . It’s great for little kids and my 6 year old did not want to leave as there are so many activities

Could be better: Hand washing facilities after using the toilet and toilet roll

Liked: The parc had everything we wanted to have a wonderful, relaxing week with our 2 children (aged 15 & 10). The outdoor pool was clean and warm and provided lots of fun with slides. I loved that most of the activities provided were free and easy to attend. The lake and forest provided space and freedom in nature. Our chalet was situated within the trees, providing a private, quiet spot. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, watching a few bands while enjoying food and drink. I loved how relaxed and traditional the parc is, not overly commercial. Loved it!

Could be better: We found the lifeguarding at the pool and lake to be sporadic, which made us a little nervous. Sometimes they were there, sometimes not. Often when there was a lifeguard they did not appear to be paying full attention. My husband (a qualified lifeguard himself) almost had to rescue a young child who was struggling in the deep end. There were some wobbly steps and handrails coming up from the lake past the indoor pool that could cause someone to fall.
