Liked: We love it here and have been many times, it never fails to please. Immaculate site, full of mature trees, good sized pitches (ours right next to the Loire), with great facilities - spotless shower block/loos with nearby composting and waste facilities, laundry, wifi, chickens and herbs!, great nearby local shops, very interesting place and handy for big towns like Saumur and Chinon.

Could be better: I honestly can't think of any.

Liked: The campsite was very peaceful and tidy. The staff were very friendly and we ate in the Restaurant and the food was good. The Abbey and the village square is only a few minutes walk away with a market on Sunday. Next time we visit we will also be making a trip to Saumur, which is around 13 miles away.

Could be better: A number of the showers were out of use, so it could get little busy

Liked: We loved the site and facilities. The views of the Loire fantastic and the staff were very friendly.Shower walls could do with more attention i.e cleaning.

Could be better: Public transport to Saumar

Liked: Position of the site is wonderful - on the river, within a few steps of the village centre, with good cycling available from site, and within easy reach of many interesting attractions. Staff courteous and friendly.

Could be better: The condition of the pitch surface was terrible, and although 'grand comfort' there was no water tap and drainage for the caravan (we asked to move pitches). The chemical emptying point had an awkward arrangement with some hose from a tap outside it, and not really long enough for purpose (a tap and hose within the emptying enclosure would help! ) The communal facilities were adequate, but desperately need updating.

Liked: A wonderful time on the banks of the river, walking distance to the local town. Friendly staff and a clean site. Private bathrooms are cracking 👌

Liked: All facilities good, plenty of hot water at showers and wash up, friendly and hard working staff, are a credit, great restaurant which we used twice

Liked: Lovely site perfect place to explore the area brilliant cycle path to Saumur unfortunately didn’t try the restaurant as was fully booked

Liked: Very large & sunny pitch right next to The Loire. Easy access to Loire a Velo and some great cycle routes. Very nice restaurant; warm welcome & great service. Lovely pool.

Could be better: Nothing

Liked: We returned after a three year break and stayed in one of the cottages (as we had sold our campervan). The site is as good as we remembered. The morning wine tour with the site owner was fun and informative.

Liked: Very friendly owner, clean, well laid out, has everything you need including restaurant/bar and pool. Based in a lovely french village with bars, restaurants, bakery, butchers. Great base for cycling or visiting the local chateaus.

Could be better: We learned that the showers/toilets are being upgraded which we think will make the necesssry improvement to the site (although they still work efficiently)
