Liked: We had a great pitch on the side of the river which was well worth paying a small supplement for. No real shop in the village so arrive with provisions for your stay. But in the heart of glorious villages. Restaurants and vineyards

Could be better: Facilities are clean but dated. Hard to clean shower as nowhere to drain

Liked: Pitch size was enormous and private shower/toilet/kitchen a welcome addition Pool an added bonus too Village of Montserau a bit of a disappointment as shops/businesses shut on a Mon/Tues so we couldn’t eat out Nice flat cycle route into Samir

Could be better: Mention there is a fridge on webpage under superior pitch and take some photos of the toilet block too to inform future guests

Liked: Reception staff very helpful with ancillaries that we had not packed. Although not most picturesque of locations the facilities and local area outstanding.

Could be better: Cleanliness of showers, in need of a deep clean. Adults only swim session. Food on the poor side.

Liked: A friendly and well run campsite in a great location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Faclilities were well maintained and spotless. Easy walking distance to Montroseau with bars, restaurants and food shopping.

Could be better: More sunloungers at the pool.

Liked: This was our first visit to L'Isle Verte . It is a very efficiently run & pleasant campsite right on the banks of the Loire. Conveniently placed in the village, near to shops, cafes & restaurants.

Could be better: Bread can be ordered the day before but it would be good to have a few basic items available, such as water and milk, for visitors who arrive late after a long journey and are unable to get to a shop in time. The exit barrier is controlled by computer and we were not able to leave our car inside the campsite after our departure time ( to get breakfast with friends) despite the fact that I am disabled and unable to walk to the exit.

Liked: Location, service facilities all excellent, lovely swimming pool and nice bar / restaurant. Good access to Riverside footpath for dog walk. Most of all a peaceful ambience and lovely flowers planted around. I just feel at home there.

Could be better: The bar was closed between 12 and 2pm and it would have been nice sometimes to have a beer then.

Liked: The site sitsi by the side of the Loire in the village of Montsoreau. The facilities are very well maintained. The on site restaurant serves great food, and there are many wine caves in the area to visit. There are shops and places to eat in the village, and bus services into Saumur. The staff are very helpful.

Could be better: More pitches with a fresh water tap
