Liked: Notwithstanding the unseasonably wet weather we again enjoyed the first three weeks of our stay at Le Domaine d'Oleron. We were given a warm welcome by Melusine, Ben, Wayne and the other staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We witnessed examples of this both in relation to our own requirements and those of others. The persistant wet weather caused problems for a number of us and Ben, in particular, was unstinting in his efforts to resolve and alleviate their effects. His work around the site over the last year landscaping with flowers, plants and other improvements has enhanced the site.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Liked: The island was a calm and quiet place with good cycle routes . Staff at site were excellent as was the pool area and bar/restaurant.

Could be better: The new pitches in front of sanitary facilities need a bit more attention!!

Liked: Lovely site with good facilities. We enjoyed a couple of meals at the bar. The staff were all charming.

Could be better: It would have been helpful to have more warning that reception was closed for arrivals until 14.45.

Liked: The sanitary block was spotlessly clean, good showers . The washing up area was well laid out with plenty of hot water. The swimming pool was warm and we were lucky to have it to ourselves.
