Liked: The sanitary block was spotlessly clean, good showers . The washing up area was well laid out with plenty of hot water. The swimming pool was warm and we were lucky to have it to ourselves.

Liked: Excellent sanitary facilities, possibly the best we’ve seen, super clean. Level pitches, friendly staff, “fresh” bread and croissants available (baking finished off onsite). Pool area looked good but didn’t use.
Could be better: Animations. Animations. Animations. Site was mostly quiet and when we visited mostly older folk, but despite this the entertainment team persisted with blaring out “music” late into the evenings (possibly just weekends) with barely anyone there. Also meant it was impossible to enjoy a drink at the bar in the evenings. Maybe that should be limited to high season only?

First time on Ile d’Oleron
Liked: Mel and the team were extremely helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Amenity block was one of the best we have experienced. Food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money. Special mention for Wayne - the English guy on site who does an amazing job of keeping everything clean, neat and tidy.
