Liked: Right on the dunes at Messanges, perfect for sunsets. Excellent facilities-well kept and very clean. Although huge, wasn't overrun. Waterpark great for kids. Was upgraded to a vip pitch as booked one wasn't suitable. Done with no fuss. Great service especially to Emma who went above and beyond. Merci x

Could be better: We paid extra for a premium lodge. Accommodation was dirty and poorly maintained. Awful experience at the on-site restaurant, La Brasserie du VP. The service and food were terrible. The restaurant staff were incredibly hostile. Our waiter became so angry that he actually dropped an entire full tray of drinks all over us.Reception handed us a complaints form but openly admitted to us that the form would never be acted on. We were so upset that we found another place to stay. This completely ruined our holiday. Absolutely do not stay here

Liked: We stayed here for a week in July with another family in the sleep 10 premium cottage. The campsite itself was great with everything you needed onsite and the kids had a great time!

Could be better: Small word of warning if you’re thinking of staying here would be to bring plenty of mosquito repellent as we got loads of bites! Customer service at reception and at the bars and restaurants was poor and we found most of the staff quite unhelpful and rude at times!

Liked: The accommodation was very nice, and we really enjoyed the swimming pool and the sports facilities. The football pitch could have been maintained a little better, but overall the facilities were great. The beach was beautiful.

Could be better: We really enjoyed our holiday overall, with the exception of two minor issues. It was quite difficult for us to book activities and excursions. At reception, we were told to make the reservations through the app, but the app didn't work for bookings, so we had to go back to reception anyway. Could be better: On the hottest day in French history, you made people leave the pool at 6pm, simply because it is not yet July. I know rules are important, but so is flexibility. I think it was ridiculous to close the pool so early during the heat wave. And to close it early another day for a private party.

Could be better: Layout of campsite is terrible. Very confusing. Poor signage and very easy to get lost. Opening hours of restaurant too short. Very little shade around the pool area
