Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Lovely small swimming pool. Quiet campsite in great location.

Could be better: Urinals were very smelly.

Liked: Second visit. Last year - at the end of the season - which made us want to return. This year, after long rainy spells we visited in late May. Many pitches were starting to dry out and most vistitors were motorhomes.

Could be better: Grass and some hedges need to be cut more often, especially for the benefit of early season visitors. When the toilets are hosed down the water should be squeegeed away not left on the floor all day!

Liked: Quiet, shady grass pitches between the river Loire and the canal. Plenty of hot water. Good location on edge of Briare near the marina and the canal viaduct.

Could be better: Although the facilities were kept clean they were old fashioned and tired with broken door locks. There were toilet roll dispensers but no actual toilet roll; hand sanitizer dispensers were empty; no floor mops in the ladies showers.

Liked: Briars is a lovely town. The pitch sizes were good size.

Could be better: Cut the grass. More showers and toilets.

Liked: Hot water in showers and sinks and location. Nice welcome from young man on the reception.

Could be better: To tend to the grounds, cut hedges, clear cut grass from pitches, and trim tree branches. Some nice flower pots to brighten up the place. Clean the showers or update them. Don’t lock showers when it’s busy.

Could be better: Many campsites in the region have free WiFi near the reception and also provide a room for campers with microwave, kettle and fridge. These would have been appreciated.

Liked: We were looking for a central location, with good amenities and this site delivered all that we needed. Booked for one night and stayed for 2 to rest and relax before deciding where to go next on our Campervan tour. We had a choice of spacious pitches. Location between canal and riverside was great for dogwalking and an amble into Briare. Adequate toilet and shower facilities for our needs.

Liked: Though close to the town this feels very rural, lovely large pitches with ehu and water our pitch

Could be better: There was no local informationavailable in the reception at all. We like to pick up a local map, at least, as we arrive.
