We hired a motorhome from Gary over the weekend, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. The motorhome itself was fantastic – spotless, comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly set up for off-grid adventures. Everything worked exactly as it should, and it had everything we needed for a hassle-free trip away. It was clear that Gary takes great pride in maintaining his motorhome to an exceptionally high standard. Gary was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. From the initial booking right through to returning the motorhome, everything was easy and seamless. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he was always happy to answer any questions we had. We were travelling down south to a bird show and took our parrots along with us. This wasn’t an issue for Gary at all – in fact, he even took the time to meet our parrots, which was a lovely touch and really showed how accommodating and welcoming he is. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The motorhome was a pleasure to travel in, Gary made everything straightforward, and we felt completely looked after from beginning to end. We will definitely be booking with Gary again in the future and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to all our friends and family. If you’re looking for a quality motorhome and first-class customer service, Gary is the person to go to. Thank you, Gary – we’re already looking forward to our next trip!

We had such a good trip in this motorhome with my mum and daughter… I’ve hired a few campervans and motorhomes before and this was honestly one of the nicest experiences we’ve had. It was clean, comfortable and really well equipped with everything we needed for the trip. The layout worked really well for us as three generations travelling together with plenty of space to relax and comfortable double beds at night. My daughter loved the funky wrap on the outside! It gives the motorhome a really fun, unique look and made it feel special from the moment we saw it… I thought it might stand out too much at first but because of the matte finish it actually blends in far more naturally than you’d expect (We think it looks great without being over the top). It was also easier to drive than I expected for its size and handled the Derbyshire roads really well. Everything was straightforward to use and the attached outside canopy was especially useful 👍 The handover from James and Hannah was excellent. They explained the electrics, heating, water, gas and general setup really clearly, so we felt confident before setting off. Communication was easy throughout and they were both friendly, helpful and clearly wanted us to have a great trip! The checklists for setting off were a really useful touch too. Sunset Bloom feels really well looked after and has a lovely personality to it… It gave us a proper little family adventure and made some great memories. I’d happily hire it again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, fun, well-maintained motorhome.

Campsites in Wales

There are many nice campsites in Wales. Shell island, for example, is the largest campsite in the UK at over 300 acres and is one of the largest campsites in the whole of Europe. Based in North Wales, the campsite boasts stunning views of the picturesque Welsh countryside, including Snowdonia National Park and Cardigan Bay. Shell Island is popular with those wanting a holiday by the sea but who don’t want to stay in a crowded seaside town with all the usual tourist traps. You can go kayaking in the sea and go fishing in the nearby village of Llanbedr. The family run Erwlon Caravan and Camping Park to the west of the Brecon Beacons is an ideal location to discover magical mid Wales. It has an award winning amenity block and designated adult only and family areas, parkwide WiFi, fully serviced super-pitches and a children’s playground. The campsite is perfectly situated for outdoor activities with a variety of walking trails, cycling routes, caving and riding adventures.

There are so many things to do in Wales and going on a campervan holiday really opens up the country to you. Adventure seekers can take on the challenge of climbing Snowdon, Wales’ largest mountain, or if you are looking for an easier way up there is also a train! Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top in this stunning corner of the country. If you are a fan of castles, Wales is the ideal place for you with many fascinating examples across the country from Caerphilly to Caernarfon. Sports fans can head to Cardiff for rugby at the Millenium Stadium or international cricket at Sophia Gardens and art connoisseurs can head to Cardiff’s National Museum Wales to explore its world class collection of Impressionist works. Events in Wales

Next to things to do, there are also many fantastic events in Wales that are definitely worth a visit! If you are visiting Wales in April, you might want to check out Cardiff's own RHS Flower Show. Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society, the show is a huge display of hundreds of different species of flowers, and usually brings in people from all over the world. Pembrokeshire Fish Week was ranked first in the top 10 food festivals by the Independent. It has come first in several other similar competitions even winning the Gold Award for the Food Tourism Destination category in the True Taste Food and Drink Awards. Accolades aside, Fish week is a biennial celebration of Pembrokeshire’s world-class seafood, spectacular coastline, gorgeous clean beaches, and fascinating heritage of its maritime history. Every year in a different location there is also the National Eisteddfod of Wales, a celebration of the country’s language and culture, which gives a fascinating insight into this ancient land.
