Welcome to our motorhome!

We are a young family who love to travel about in our motorhome when time allows us!

Our motorhome is very well looked after and we ask that you too take the very best care of it. We have tried to include everything that you will need for your trip (not including some extras below) and our suggestion is always to pack as lightly as possible so that you will have more room inside the vehicle to enjoy your time away.

We are a non-smoking family and we insist that you do not smoke inside or around our motorhome (gas is flammable and we also hate the smell!)

* A single bedding package (this includes 2 x pillows and 1 x double duvets (£25 total for duration of hire).
*A double bedding package (this includes 4 x pillows and 2 x double duvets- we use Night Owl Coverless duvets (£40 total duration of hire).

The motorhome can be collected from either Wellwood (where we keep it in storage and there is parking for your car, should you need), or it can be collected from the Dunfermline City Train Station if you are travelling by bus/train from the airport (there is a short tram and then train ride from there and will take approximately 45min in total. You can also catch two buses (the 747 followed by either a 7/7B/7C and this will take roughly an hour). We can discuss your preferred option once you have booked.

The collection time of the motorhome is 10am and the drop off time is 10am. We can be flexible with these times, though this must be agreed to in advance and will not always be possible.

We have chosen to not have a cleaning fee and all we ask in return is that our motorhome is to be returned clean and tidy and in the same state as it was given to you in, both inside and out. If the motorhome is needing to be cleaned after you have returned it, then £50 will be charged for the interior and another £50 if the exterior is not clean. A higher amount will be charged from your deposit if the motorhome is returned in need of extensive cleaning.

The motorhome is well stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, utensils and pots and pans provided. All of these items inside must be left clean and ready for the next person. Any missing items will need to be replaced and will come out of your deposit. An inventory will be taken at pick up and drop off.

The toilet cassette must be returned empty and thoroughly rinsed and cleaned , as it will be presented to you in this way for your collection. If it is not emptied or is not thoroughly cleaned then a £50 charge will be taken from your deposit. An organic toilet solution will be provided to you that should last for the total duration of your trip and this should keep the toilet smelling clean and fresh when in use- there is no cost for this. We recommend that the toilet is emptied roughly every 3 or 4 days or when full and the toilet products are added at this time, once it has been cleaned.

The motorhome takes diesel and the tank will be full when your collect the motorhome. It must be returned full, otherwise it will be filled and the cost of refuelling will be taken from your deposit plus a £20 charge for the owners time. We recommend using either the Tesco fuel Station in Dunfermline, KY12 7BD as this one also has a 'Do it Yourself' wash station and is the closest one to where we will be meeting.

The motorhome comes with one full 6kg gas tanks and one partially full tank. Each tank should last a number of weeks. If you run out of gas then you will need to locate a Calor gas supplier online (phone ahead to check stock) to swap the tanks/tank over for a full replacement. The cost (roughly £30 each) will not be reimbursed. Please only heat water as you need it and do not keep the hot water on continuously. It is far more economical to heat water with a kettle to wash dishes as opposed to heating a whole tank of water!

The motorhome does have a shower, which is great for washing off sandy feet or rinsing yourself after a swim. We have found that it uses a lot of gas to heat the water in the tank when off grid. Staying on a site with electric hookup is better for using the shower when wanting warm/hot water.

A weekly mileage limit is set for 1000 miles maximum per week ( 7 days) or 140 miles per day of your hirer if less than 7 days. Extra miles will be charged at 50p per mile.

Well behaved dogs can be approved with the owners permission only and of course any damage to the vehicle will need to be paid for. If you have a dog then please provide a cover for the seats.
