The Lost Boy – Stylish and comfortable Mazda Bongo

We are a family of four and we bought The Lost Boy in 2021. We have had a fantastic time getting to know him so that we can ensure you enjoy the optimum campervanning experience from 2022.

The conversion is completely unique; we wanted the interior to contain the best layout available on the market for a Bongo, whilst capturing a cosy, organic boho vibe to make it an ideal base for adventurous souls to relax and plot in. Hence why this Bongo boasts an oak kitchen counter, vegan-leather seats and funky geometric flooring (N.B. rug and soft furnishings are not included in your hire unless by prior arrangement).

Both the driver and passenger seat swivel around to create your deceptively spacious living area. There is a dining table that hooks under the counter with enough room for two to comfortably dine on (my husband and I usually use the swivel seats and tray if we're eating dinner in the van, leaving the table to the kids).

The kitchen comprises a 2 hob gas cooker, a sink, fridge with mini freezer and storage cupboards. Unlike most conversions, you can still access the fridge with the rock 'n' roll bed out, making it possible to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed (or a sneaky end-of-night glass of wine!). We have provided a kettle, cutlery, pans and utensils.

The pop up roof is very easy to use and provides space for two to sleep comfortably, or simply to provide more head room when using the kitchen.

To the back of the van are more storage cupboards.

There is an electric hook-up, as well as a solar panel to permanently power the fridge. We have now been on trips both in campsites and 'wild camping' and so are happy to advise regarding power use (spoiler - we've not yet run out of power, even off grid).

Collection is from Farnham, Surrey and you can leave your car in our drive for the duration of your hire. There is some beautiful countryside on our doorstep and we're happy to make enthusiastic suggestions for places you can visit. It's also an excellent base for the South coast or London and with easy access to the M25 or M3. We have so far visited the New Forest, Oxfordshire and Forest of Dean and are happy to share our experiences and tips with you. We would also love to hear about your adventures when you return!
