We hired a motorhome from Gary over the weekend, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. The motorhome itself was fantastic – spotless, comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly set up for off-grid adventures. Everything worked exactly as it should, and it had everything we needed for a hassle-free trip away. It was clear that Gary takes great pride in maintaining his motorhome to an exceptionally high standard. Gary was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. From the initial booking right through to returning the motorhome, everything was easy and seamless. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he was always happy to answer any questions we had. We were travelling down south to a bird show and took our parrots along with us. This wasn’t an issue for Gary at all – in fact, he even took the time to meet our parrots, which was a lovely touch and really showed how accommodating and welcoming he is. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The motorhome was a pleasure to travel in, Gary made everything straightforward, and we felt completely looked after from beginning to end. We will definitely be booking with Gary again in the future and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to all our friends and family. Our experience with Oliver John Motorhome Hire was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We hired a motorhome for a full week and covered over 1,000 miles without a single issue — it performed perfectly the entire time. Gary, the owner, was brilliant. We recently hired Marjorie, our motorhome, for a week exploring Scotland over the October half-term, and it was absolutely perfect for our trip! From start to finish, the whole experience was brilliant. The handover was seamless — Gary took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we were comfortable before setting off. During the first few days, whenever we had a question, he was quick to respond to texts and calls, which gave us great peace of mind. Marjorie was spotless, modern, and had everything we needed for our week away. It was so spacious and comfortable — ideal for us two adults, our son, and our dog. We even decorated her with Halloween lights to make it extra fun for the season! Gary was also really flexible and understanding when traffic delayed our return, which we truly appreciated. Honestly, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We’ve already started planning our next adventure and can’t wait to book again. We have just returned from an 8 night stay in Majorie and it was an incredible experience!!! We loved every minute and hiring from Gary made the whole experience much easier and enjoyable. Communication was fantastic from start to finish. Throughout the trip, if we had any questions, Gary was only a message or call away. One day we set up at the beach and realised the fridge was not on without the engine. We considering moving but Gary called and talked me through hooking it up to the gas. This saved our day and a fridge full of food!! The motorhome had everything we needed and it was such an adventure having everything on board and on the road. Our children absolutely loved the experience. The beds were extremely comfortable. We did a different campsite each night and the set up/pack up got easier everytime. We were not ready to give it back at the end. As this was our first time hiring and driving we were nervous but dont let this stop you. It was a great drive and easy to get used to. Being automatic was a huge help in this! We will 100% be hiring from Gary again! August 2025
