Meet Bob, our A-class Pilote motorhome. Bob lives just outside Bristol, so is perfectly located for exploring the south west or of course further afield.

We bought Bob in July 2020 having finally given in to our love of motorhomes. More years back than we’d like to think, we spent six months living in a motorhome driving around America and have been longing for our own vehicle to explore the UK in ever since. We love taking Bob away to new places and would love to share this enjoyment with others.

As a family, Bob fulfils all our needs with his 4 seat belts and 5 berths. Being a Pilote he was built with quality in mind and although he may show his age in places, he is reliable and in good repair. Bob is 6.7m long and 2.3m wide and this space is put to good use. There is no need to make beds each night as Bob has a drop down double bed over the cab and another fixed double bed at the rear. The lounge area can also be used as a single bed if needed. Bob has a full bathroom with cassette toilet, wash basin and a separate shower. The kitchen area is fitted with a 3 ring gas hob, SMEV grill, 3-way fridge and sink and includes all the kitchen equipment you could need.

The lounge area is a large open space and there is a folding table for dining. The front seats swivel around, making plenty of room for the family to sit and enjoy a meal, play games, watch tv or watch a movie on the tv’s integrated DVD player.

Bob is heated by a Truma gas heater. All habitation windows have blackout blinds and insect blinds and there are curtains surrounding the cab area. Unfortunately, we are currently trying to get to the bottom of a problem with the blowers in the cab, so have provided a USB fan you can plug into the cigarette lighter which works well to keep you cool while driving.

To ensure your safety, Bob has a yearly habitation check which certifies the safety of the gas, electric and water systems. He also has a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and first aid kit.

In addition to the amenities already listed, Bob also has:
Cycle rack for 3 bicycles which can be removed if not needed
Mattress toppers and mattress covers
Cleaning materials including toilet fluid
Spare gas canister
Camping chairs, 2 adult and 2 children
Camping table
Buckets and spades
Mains connector cable
Fresh water hose
Dog stake and cable
Portable step
Levelling blocks
Electric fan

We will provide tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits to send you off on your journey.

You are welcome to leave your car on our parking area at your own risk during your time with Bob. This will be subject to your own vehicle insurance covering you for overnight parking away from home.

We wish you a fun adventure in Bob and ask that you treat him as if he was your own and return him in the condition in which you found him.

Bob was well equipped for a family holiday, good contact from Jenny and family. We'd definitely book again. August 2021
My family (2 adults, 2 older children and a medium sized dog) had a great time for two weeks with 'Bob', covering over 1500 miles and enjoying a combination of campsite and wild camping in the Inner Hebrides. You would expect quirks and challenges with a vehicle of Bob's age but he is a reliable and comfortable home. Jenny and her husband couldn't have been more welcoming, and the handover and hand-back went very smoothly. August 2021
Bob was great, he came to the rescue when our van Sheila broke down before our trip and made our holiday a dream! Jenny and her partner Matt were very accommodating, friendly and made the pick up / drop off as easy as possible. Would definitely recommend. Everything worked well and was easy to use after Matts briefing and handy info booklet in the van. The only very minor niggle would be the kitchen, although well equipped was missing a few items that we would have liked, maybe ask for the itinerary first if you’re concerned/fussy!! June 2021
