Roadtrip Ziggy – On an adventure with Ziggy the Volkswagen T3

Well, where to start. For a start, I want to be clear, I share MY experience, not the one you might have in the future nor the one previous travelers had. We picked up the campervan in Eindhoven on Friday, then drove to Den haag the following day. I could feel the gearbox and gearstick were a bit cranky but unfortunately, it broke down in the middle of the city. I managed to get out of there and park. After one or two hours on the phone with the international assistance (goboony was closed and no way to contact them saturday and sunday, GREAT), the tow truck finally arrived, towed the camper away and left us… on foot. Right, on foot. They offered us to rent a car for 100 euros per day (what a bargain!) so we declined kindly. I called the assistance once more to know if we could have a replacement car and the answer was NO, because I didn’t answer correctly to two questions the hotline employee asked me (do you plan to go out of holland during your trip? Did you book your accommodations already?). No and no, as we planned to visit holland and plan to sleep in the campervan. Duh! Wrong answer that left us excluded from the right for a replacement car… The assistance got us a taxi to drive us back where my car was. We carried on our trip. We DID NOT GET REFUND, so we’ve left 863 euros in the drain. We got refund for 100 euros maximum per night, which obviously did not cover our expenses (hard to find an accommodation for three people in this price range). The involvement of the owner in this turmoil was very limited. Very bad experience overall. August 2022

Wij hebben met Ziggy een rondje Zuid-Limburg gemaakt. Fantastisch! Prachtige camper in mooie originele staat, met alles aan boord wat je nodig hebt. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep zeer prettig! Een absolute aanrader. Bedankt! May 2022
